PF Lyceum 103: Introduction to Psychokinesis Research
$40.00 for a five-hour course video and materials. NTSC. ISBN 1-931747-12-1.
Instructor: Richard S. Broughton, Ph.D.
Parapsychology 103: Introduction to Psychokinesis Research focuses on psychokinesis – the direct influence of the mind on physical objects or systems – exploring the first cases recognized by scientists as well as the methods used to investigate them.
“Parapsychology 103” will examine commonalities among psychokinesis cases and the psychical theories surrounding them. Dr. Broughton will also focus on past and present psychokinesis research. Students will come away from this afternoon with an understanding of the related “distant healing” phenomena, as well as a framework for understanding some of the difficult issues psychokinesis research raises.
The course is taught by Dr. Richard S. Broughton, Ph.D., President of Intuition Laboratories, Inc., a North Carolina research institution that studies human intuition and applies research to develop methods for identifying intuitively gifted individuals. Author of Parapsychology: The Controversial Science (Ballantine, 1991), Dr. Broughton has appeared as an expert on parapsychology and intuition issues for television programs, including ABC’s Good Morning America, NBC’s Dateline, and on several documentaries for The Learning Channel and the Discovery Channel. Dr. Broughton obtained his Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Edinburgh and served as Director of the Institute for Parapsychology in Durham, N.C., before founding Intuition Laboratories.
