PF Lyceum 101: The Scientific Study of Psychic Phenomena presents a brief overview of parapsychology in four sections. The first section introduces the basic phenomena of the field, the methods of study of parapsychology, and the controversies surrounding them. The second section surveys the historical development of the field and current trends of research. The third section summarizes modern attempts to study ESP in the field and laboratory under controlled conditions, including remote viewing studies, dream telepathy and the technique known as the Ganzfeld. Finally, the fourth section explores what we have learned about the study of extrasensory perception (ESP) experiences, those intuitions, dreams and visions that seem to convey veridical information. The course is taught by parapsychology researchers and PF staff members, Dr. Carlos S. Alvarado and Nancy L. Zingrone.
